How We Met

11.27.14

We met at our first job on thanksgiving at the Cascades Manor House. Both of us had secret crushes on each other, but we were too shy to tell the other. Soon we graduated high-school, Deliah had decided to follow her dream of moving to Colorado; Nathan didn't want to chance her staying behind because of him so he had kept his feelings from her, and instead let Deliah follow her dream even though it risked never seeing her again. Moving to Colorado only lasted a summer, and she came back to her hometown of Jackson, and began working at the Manor House again. No one had told Nathan she was back in town, and when he came in for a shift and saw her standing there in the clock in room, his heart stopped and his smile shined. After that, we began talking to each other all the time, long phone calls, staying up all night talking to each-other, and sorts of unique dates together. We always managed time for each other no matter how busy our schedules were. Eventually, we both knew that we were perfect for each other, our connection was so special, and we've been inseparable ever since.

Proposal

10.26.19.

During a beautiful trip up north to Traverse City we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We enjoyed the breathtaking scenery during the fall time. As we reached the top of the trail, Nathan had Deliah climb over a fence to a remote cliff hanging that overlooked Lake Michigan. Mind you, I did not want to climb over the fence because I didn't want to get caught and told they we weren't allowed to climb it, so it had taken Nathan convincing me to. Finally, I decided to climb the fence as no one was around. We were admiring the scenery, I looked down to see Nathan on his knee proposing. I asked, I was so caught up guard, I couldn't believe it, he laughed, I teared up and said "OF COURSE!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in October!
