Is the Shelter Island 10K the same day as your wedding!?

Answer

Yes, the Shelter Island 10K is the same day as our wedding. How could they!? Our wedding schedule should not be impacted by the race and its course. There is about an hour and a half in between the end of our ceremony and cocktail hour at the Boathouse. We predict that many of you will end up at the Chequit bar and will take New York Avenue and Menantic Road to get to our reception venue. That being said, if you need to run home or back to your rental, you can! We recommend you leave from any location that is not in the Heights by 4:45 so you do not get blocked in. The race starts at 5:30pm. Guests taking the North or South Ferry: Please expect delays and plan accordingly! The 10k is a very busy day for both ferries as runners travel from all over for the race. Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids! Unfortunately, due to our large families, we reached capacity at our venue pretty quickly. Sadly, that means we couldn't invite the kids.
