Michael and Delia first crossed paths back in 2010, at the young ages of 18 and 23. Delia was about to head off to her freshman year of college, and the Universe had other plans for the both of them before they were to start their lives together. Fast forward a whole decade; they reconnected in October of 2020. After a few messages back and forth on the gram, they met up for after dinner drinks at The Taphouse in Hooksett. They absolutely hit it off. Once that restaurant closed, they decided to continue down the road at the only place still open late on a Wednesday night- Applebees- where they sat and talked and connected until last call. This was the beginning of their love story unfolding. Delia and Podrick moved in the following Spring, where they became a happy little family of 5; Michael, Delia, Podrick, Ginger, and Sebastian.

Michael and Delia had traveled somewhere together every February since they started dating; First to Clearwater Beach Florida and the following year to Key West. For their third vacation they decided that they wanted to visit somewhere new and out of the country. They flew to Punta Cana on February 13th and stayed at the Hardrock Resort. It was beautiful! While exploring the resort that first day they saw a huge light up LOVE sign that people were waiting in line to take pictures in front of. They chose to skip the line and maybe find it another time for their photo op. The 14th, which was both Valentines Day and Delias 31st birthday, they spent the day in the sunshine by the pool; it was the perfect day. They each earned themselves a nice Dominican sunburn and after a solid midday nap back in the room, they rallied and got ready for dinner that evening. They enjoyed a lovely meal at the steakhouse and afterwards head to the part of the resort where they could find music and drinks. On their walk over they spotted the LOVE sign again. Delia asked a nearby staff member to take a picture for them. After a few photos, Michael asked him to take just one more-and that’s when he dropped down to one knee. They spent the rest of that week in paradise together, immersed in sunshine and their love. A foreshadowing to the rest of their lives together.
