A few weeks into Elizabeth's freshman year of college her friend, Rebecca, said she wanted to set her up. Elizabeth was a little weary but when she saw Will's picture she definitely thought it was too good to be true. Meanwhile, Will's friend, Dakota, claimed that Elizabeth would be perfect for him. Weeks went by and neither Elizabeth or Will made the effort to reach out to the other person. A set-up had to be made. Both Elizabeth and Will agreed to go to a play one night on Lindenwood's campus. It was going to be the perfect way for them to FINALLY meet. But of course, God had different plans. The day of the play, Elizabeth and Rebecca were walking on campus, when they spotted Will trying to sell merchandise for the lacrosse team. He waved them down and the first introduction was made. Fast forward to five hours later, Will texted Elizabeth telling her to save seats for him and Dakota at the play. The boys finally got to the theater and Elizabeth was about to make a joke on how the first introduction went when Will reached out his hand and REINTRODUCED himself for the SECOND time. Will still claims he was just nervous, Elizabeth is pretty sure that's B.S. After the AWKWARD second introduction, there was never a weird moment between Elizabeth or Will. They completely clicked and became the best of friends. They took it slow and hung out for months before having their first kiss on New Years Eve. It took a few more weeks to make it official on Super Bowl Sunday. More than seven years later, Will popped the question in the exact spot the first introduction was made. No second proposal was needed. They can't wait to celebrate their love with their favorite people!
