One of the best things about Beaver Creek is that you don’t need to drive anywhere to enjoy the mountains; many trails begin right from the resort. Beaver Lake Trail (Our Favorite!) – A gorgeous 6-mile round-trip hike through aspen groves and pine forests, ending at a peaceful alpine lake. Moderate difficulty and absolutely worth it for the views. Five Senses Trail – A short, family-friendly walk along Beaver Creek that engages all your senses — great for a relaxing stroll. Royal Elk Trail – A beautiful 3-mile path with sweeping mountain views, accessible via the chairlift or Overlook Trail. Bear Lake Trail – Bear Lake Trail: Peaceful forest trail to a small alpine lake. (~4.5 miles roundtrip)
Beaver Creek Golf Club – A scenic and challenging championship course just minutes from the village. Red Sky Golf Club (Wolcott) – Two award-winning courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable golf experience.
Timberline Tours – top-rated outfitter for rafting near Beaver Creek, offering everything from gentle floats to thrilling rapids on the Eagle and Colorado Rivers. Best Time to Go: June through August, when the sun is warm and river levels are perfect.
Apex Mountain School – Offers guided climbs for all levels and is extra special to us, as it’s where Matt and I discovered our love for rock climbing during an unforgettable day in Minturn.
If you’re up for an adventure on two wheels, Beaver Creek and nearby Vail offer miles of trails ranging from smooth, scenic rides to thrilling downhill runs. Rentals and guided tours are available in the village.
Eagle River – Easy access and excellent trout fishing just minutes from the resort. Gore Creek – A local favorite with beautiful scenery and rewarding catches.
