FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We plan to have official invitations sent out in early October 2025, and ask that you RSVP no later than January 22nd, 2026. If you have received a Save The Date, you will be receiving an Invitation, so keep an eye on your mailbox!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Our venue, Sweetwater Branch Inn, is also a bed and breakfast! They may have rooms and/or cottages available, so please check with them for availability. Alternatively, some nearby hotels can be found in the Travel tab of this site, so please check there!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please reach out to us ASAP about any dietary restrictions (not just allergies). The food will be professionally prepared, and served buffet-style. The menu has not yet been decided, but we will update this section when it is! Alcohol will be limited to wine, and we ask that everyone who partakes does so responsibly.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our wedding registry can be found here, on Zola, at the top of your webpage. However, beyond physical gifts, we also greatly appreciate monetary donations which will go towards our honeymoon or purchasing our first home. Wish us luck!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We encourage parents to leave their kids at home if they are below the age of five, as we want our all guests to be able to be with us during this special moment and not have to worry about managing their kids. Please feel free to reach out if there is a concern!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding small and intimate, we ask that only those who are named on the Save The Dates or Invitations are present.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is "Garden Party Formal--Black Tie Optional". This means that we would love for you to dress up, look and feel sharp, but items like tuxedos are not required. You are welcome to wear two- or three-piece suits, floor-length gowns, or formal cocktail dresses. Delano has curated a Pinterest board if you are need of outfit inspiration or guidance! https://pin.it/6rz4xBON1 Hopefully the weather will be pleasant, but the ceremony will be outside in a garden. The reception will be inside a climate controlled gathering hall. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the hall.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking at the venue is limited, but there is a city government lot across the street that may be available after hours. No matter where you park, carpooling strongly is recommended for everyone's convenience.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We currently do not have shuttles planned for any of the hotels, so please plan accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

TBD, please check back later! A full itinerary will be posted in the "Schedule" tab above.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Our venue is right near downtown Gainesville, which has an excellent nightlife scene for those who partake. We have received recommendations for Boxcar Beer & Wine Garden, The Bull, Crybaby's, First Magnitude Brewing Co., and Loosey's for drinks and food. Outside of downtown, Celebration Pointe has tons of food options, a Regal Cinemas, and a Dave and Buster's. If breakfast/lunch is what you're looking for, check out Afternoon or Suprette! Both are small, local places that we highly recommend, but show up early or expect a wait, because they're popular! Afternoon is also a well-known local coffee roaster, for those who like a quality cup in the morning. We also love Uppercrust bakery, but seating is very limited so keep that in mind! On Saturday mornings, Gainesville has a number of Farmer's Markets with tons of local seasonal goods. We recommend Alachua County Farmer's Market for produce and other foods, or the Haile Market for crafts and the like. The Hippodrome, Gainesville's most well-known theater, will be putting on a performance of Rupert Holmes' "Accomplice", a mystery thriller and winner of The Edgar Award (the “Oscar” of crime and suspense). The final showing is the on the 22nd, so make sure you go see it on Saturday!
