Murrieta's Well
Nestled off the beaten path in the Livermore Valley, Murrieta's Well Winery is one of California’s original wine estates. All of their wines are sourced exclusively from their estate. They farm their vineyard and plant grape varieties according to the various microclimates on the property. This creates the winemaking palette for blending exceptional wines that truly showcase the unique characteristics of the estate’s terroir.
Retzlaff Winery
Retzlaff Vineyards and Estate Winery is family operated on 14 pristine acres in the historic Livermore Valley. Robert and Gloria Taylor planted their vineyard in 1976. By 1983 they had decided to produce commercial wines and open a tasting room. They were one of five wineries in Livermore at that time. Since 1985 wine maker Robert Taylor; assisted by his sons Noah and Aaron, has continually produced some of California’s finest award winning wines. Bring a picnic and enjoy!

Trestle
If heading to downtown San Francisco during your trip, check out Mike and Ashley's favorite restaurant in the city. Be sure to snag a reservation ahead of time as it's quite the popular spot! Trestle, an intimate dining establishment in the city’s burgeoning Jackson Square district, offers a nightly three course prix-fixe menu for $35 per person, with an option to add an additional course for $10 (do it! - 1 pasta is perfect for 2 people to share). Trestle’s menu changes daily, featuring simple and expertly prepared interpretations of comfort cuisine, with dishes and flavors that go back to the basics.
Elephant Sushi
Another restaurant favorite for Mike and Ashley. If you're staying in San Francisco and love sushi, definitely check this place out. Unfortunately they don't take reservations, so head there a bit early, put your name in, and grab a glass of wine across the street at Union Larder. They will call you when your table is ready! Elephant Sushi is a family owned authentic sushi restaurant located in the heart of San Francisco in the Russian Hill district.
West of Pecos
A Southwest inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Buffalo Theory
A San Francisco date night favorite for Mike and Ashley. This place offers an amazing craft beer selection and upscale bar food. Buffalo Theory is a craft beer focused restaurant & bar featuring New American fare from Executive Chef Tim Luym. With a prodigious selection of craft beer and wine, wickedly inventive cuisine, and a boisterous atmosphere all intelligently orchestrated to prove that the theory is now a veritable truth.
Upcider
A date night favorite for Mike and Ashley as well as a brunch favorite on the weekends! Upcider is a cider house-gastropub in San Francisco. They have a wide variety of hard ciders, beers, wines and a delicious late night light-fare menu. Uniquely designed to create an inviting, contemporary and relaxed atmosphere, where you can enjoy dinner and drinks overlooking Polk Street.
