Countdown to Forever!

It all began with a text from a friend in college! In the text she told me she had a good friend that had a crush on me for quite a while & that he had been asking about me. She then said that she didn’t think we had ever met, but that we went to SWOSU around the same time. She told me his name was Tyler Cole, so of course the first thing I did was go straight to social media & look him up! To my surprise, we were already friends on Instagram and Facebook, but I didn’t recognize him. I instantly texted the mutual friend back, and said, “Oh, he’s cute!” then agreed to her giving him my phone number. The next day, March 12th, I got my first text from my soon to be husband. I had no idea in that moment I just received a text from the man I was going to share a life with forever. I remember when I read his first text to me, it felt different. He seemed very intentional every single text he sent me & that made my heart so happy. That day was a rollercoaster of emotions. Ironically, it was also the same day that COVID-19 started to feel real for me. It was the last day I spent in my Kindergarten classroom until the next school year began in September. As the world quickly shut down, Tyler and I began our love story. Unlike most couples, we couldn’t go to the movies or to a nice restaurant. Instead, our first date was spent at my house with DoorDashed Johnny Carino’s, sweat pants, & lots of deep conversation on my couch. As the weeks went by, Tyler & I spent many days together walking in the park and getting to know each other. On May 11th Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend & by March 6th he asked me to be his wife! This past year has been a dream. God knew that my world was going to forever change the moment I met Tyler Michael Cole. I’m so excited to share this life with the most gentle, silly, kind hearted man I have ever met. Our journey in this life has just began & I can’t wait to see what God has in store for our lives together!
