We met two weeks into our freshman year of college over a rousing game of Apples to Apples that Todd was hosting in his dorm room, which was on the floor above Delaney's friend's. Things really took off the following Friday when Delaney and a few friends stopped by Todd's room in search of a weekend activity. (Who could blame them after their brush with that clutch board game collection?) Todd shelved the sci-fi tome he'd been reading and rallied the guys. We all headed to a party, gaining entry to the covert warehouse location under the cover of night via a network of walkie talkie–wielding upperclassmen. Once inside, the two of us stepped away from the group pool game to grab drinks, embraced after a shared joke, and were inseparable from that point on. (Seriously, we walked arm in awkward arm the rest of the night.) The next couple weeks were a flurry of dream dates, including lunch at Qdoba (Todd tried to pay for Delaney's burrito, but the cashier didn't hear him), supper in the dining hall (Todd offered Delaney one of his meal swipes; she declined because she, too, had a meal plan), and a screening of "Good Will Hunting" in Delaney's dorm (Todd had never seen it despite moving halfway across the country to attend school in Boston). We made it Facebook official exactly one month after arriving on campus, and here we are, 10 short years later, excited to celebrate with you, our beloved friends and family, as we up the ante considerably on the officiality scale. How do you like them apples?
