Our story technically began at Lakeview High School. We knew of each other back then, but ran in different circles — never realizing that years later, life would bring us back together in the most unexpected way. After graduation, Delaney went on to college and began a career in logistics and purchasing, while Steven started his journey in the electrical trade. Years passed, and then one night, as if by fate, we reconnected online. October 23, 2018 - What was supposed to be a simple, fall evening cruise down Lakeshore Drive turned into three hours of nonstop conversation — about our lives, our dreams, and everything in between. That night ended with the promise of a second date… and something much more. Delaney went home and told her mom, “I think he’s the one.” It didn’t take long for either of us to realize we had found something real. Over the last seven years, we’ve shared countless laughs, traveled for softball tournaments, grown in our careers, supported each other through the loss of loved ones, and bought our first home. Every chapter has brought us closer, deepening our love and strengthening our friendship. Then came the proposal — simple, genuine, and perfectly us. Steven proposed to Delaney inside our home — the one we’ve built together with love, laughter, and memories — just the truest reflection of who we are and the life we’ve created. Now, as we get ready to say “I do,” we’re filled with so much gratitude — for each other, for the love we share, and for all of you who have been part of our story.
