Sophia and Delaney often refer to their meeting as an act of pure luck. One wrong move, one failed algorithm, and their paths might have never crossed. Sophia took fate into her own hands when she decided to swallow her pride and send Delaney a "rose" as an extra sign of affection to get her attention on the dreaded dating app. “I don’t normally ‘send a rose’, but you’re really cute.” Luckily, Delaney chose to look past the corny gesture and see it for the flattery it was, since Sophia checked all the boxes of the tattooed golden retriever she was determined to find. The couple bonded over their shared love of nature, specifically camping and hiking. Their love solidified when they realized their shared value of family - and their dogs. It became clear that they'd found a true partnership. They quickly began making plans for their future together. The next year would bring adventures the couple had only dreamed of. They went in on a car-top tent (does that count as U-hauling?), later renovating an old utility trailer into their own custom pop-up camper. Together, they hit the road across multiple states, visiting 7 national parks. They shared in hundreds of animal encounters, lovingly referred to as "nature nods", like black bear cubs, grizzlies, moose, eagles, dolphins and more, seemingly everywhere they went. Now tell me that couple isn't lucky! During a vacation to Florida, Sophia had colluded with the entire family to stage a surprise proposal at the beach on New Year's Eve 2025. The couple has planned to move across the country to the great city of Chicago, where they are looking forward to celebrating a new chapter of their love story with all of you in 2027! Sophia continues to bring flowers home to Delaney every chance she gets.
