The ceremony will take place outdoors overlooking Packery Channel. The cocktail hour and reception will take place at the Brown family residence under a tent, with dancing outside. The dress code is formal. We suggest a suit of any color for men, and cocktail length or floor-length dresses for women. NOTE: Because the wedding will take place outdoors in grass, we encourage sandals or block heels for ladies.
We are providing a shuttle to the wedding from Holiday Inn N-Padre Island, Best Western Padre Island, and Aruba Bay. Below are the shuttle pickup times. For those driving to the wedding, please park along Playa del Rey, the street directly in front of our ceremony site. We kindly ask that you leave your car there for the duration of the reception rather than moving onto the street adjacent to the reception. The walk between ceremony and reception is just 0.2 miles (about a 4‑minute stroll), but to make things easier, a shuttle will be on hand.
The reception ends with a grand exit at 10:00 PM. Immediately following the exit, two shuttles will be available. Shuttle one will take guests to the after party at the Pelican Lounge, where it will be stationed outside waiting to take guests back to wherever they're staying (on the island) upon request from 10:00PM - 1:00 AM. The last shuttle pickup at the after party is at 1:00 AM, if you are still there at 1:00 AM please be ready to board so you can get back to your hotel safely.
