We’re Getting Married!

Rich and Delaney first met in 2016 while attending the International College of Christian Ministry in Portland, Oregon. Though the class size was less than 25 students, it wasn’t until nearly the end of the first school year that the two actually got to know each other. In fact, they went on their first date at a conference in Manila, Philippines almost begrudgingly, thinking they wouldn’t be interested in the other. Little did they know a seemingly insignificant few hours would change their lives. They shared their stories over dinner, wandered through the streets of Metro Manila, even found a cathedral to pray in, and subconsciously became best friends. When the two returned home, he to Portland, and she to Seattle, their friendship continued to grow over phone calls and text messages, and by December of 2017, Rich asked Delaney to be his girlfriend. They stuck it out for 8 months in a long-distance relationship, until Rich finally moved to Seattle. The next year was definitely filled with many ups and plenty of downs, but by God’s grace they helped each other grow more than they ever thought they could. So, on September 21st, 2019, Rich asked Delaney to marry him, and she whole-heartedly said “Yes!” We are so looking forward to this new chapter in our lives, and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people.
