I Do

Michael and I's first date was a bit of a marathon, starting with breakfast at Iron Rooster in Annapolis, walking around downtown, me opening Michael's eyes to the wonderful world of Starbucks Christmas drinks, browsing Barnes and Noble, and an ... eventful drive home. You see, it was raining. And I soon found out Michael likes to drive his car like he is an amateur NASCAR driver. So when I realized he was definitely going to miss our exit, I figured it was safer to just let him know once we had passed it. So I casually mentioned to him that we had just passed our exit. He was like “shoot okay, we will flip a u-turn and get the exit on the north bound side.” I was like okay, perfect! In my head I was thinking “Cool! I didn't cause an accident and he definitely didn't miss the exit on purpose. He's not gonna murder me!” With my head in the clouds thinking about how I wasn’t gonna be the newest nightly news story about a Bumble date gone wrong, I didn't think to mention to him that he should slow down on the exit ramp. Surely he saw the 20 mph speed limit recommendation. Silly me. It all ended okay. We didn’t crash, even though I for sure thought I was a goner. After sliding our entire way through the exit ramp we looked at each other and he just said “Well that was fun.” I was at a loss for words. I’m so glad I apparently have a death wish and told him I’d love a second date when he asked. Because now we are here, living together with our three kitties and anxiously awaiting our big day. We can’t wait to share it with all of you. Delaney and Michael Oh, and P.S., he always makes sure to take the exit at the recommended speed now.
