Forever has a nice "Ring" to it...

It all started freshman year of high school in the parking lot of Starbucks at Preston and Frankford (or as we call it, PNF). Delaney showed up after a BBYO project to see this person standing in the middle of the parking lot eating Chick-fil-A nuggets in, you guessed it, a cow suit. Delaney thought, why not, 'I'll go see if I can get him to give me one of his nuggets.' He said no, but it started a beautiful, awkward, and unbeknownst to us, forever friendship.

Fast forward a few years and we land at Raising Cane's at Coit and Campbell for Delaney's BBYO Chapter Profit Share. As a fellow president, Justin stopped by to show his support. They got to talking and scheduled a hang-out as "friends" at Adventure Landing, the local Putt-Putt place. Needless to say, that day we talked for hours and we've talked every day since.

After months of laughing, flirting, and getting to know each other, Delaney and Justin were walking around their usual spot they liked to have meaningful conversations, at you guessed it, the pond at PNF. Delaney finally turned to Justin and said: "So when are you going to ask me to be your girlfriend?" and Justin turned back and said "Will you be my girlfriend?" and Delaney said "eh, I don't know, I guess." And now look where we are.

The hunt was on. Delaney was coerced to her parents for her sister to try out a new make-up palette. When she came home, Justin was gone and instead sent her a text "jk, I'm not coming home" and sent her the link to "Delaney's Scavenger Hunt" website. She got giddy and quickly ran out the door to drive to where the first clue took her, which was her favorite sub shop. Of course, Delaney had to ask a million questions on the way but eventually figured out where she was supposed to go. The next clue led her to Adventure Landing (their first unofficial date). Next, she headed to what she thought was the correct place but turns out Justin forgot to change the clue and she ended up two steps ahead of the hunt. All of which was very fitting to the life of a Delaney and a Justin. Nevertheless, she finished the hunt, going to a park that they used to walk around and talk at, and to her puppies with clues on their collars. This then led her to the final destination with the clue "These two pups have been here the whole entire way, and I know how much you love them every single day. This next place you'll go is where I first asked you to be mine, and where I will do so again, but for the rest of time." This led Delaney to that same pond at PNF that he first asked her to be his girlfriend. Justin was waiting with Delaney's favorite song "My Girl" playing in the background, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said YES!!

We can't wait to make new memories with each other and celebrate with all of our family and friends! We'll see you there!
