Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, you MUST HAVE A PASSPORT- Get ASAP. Must have at least 6 months on it from expiration date! Research how to on Google!

Where are the money exchanges?

Answer

Grab pesos at the airport before heading to your stay. Most places take card as well but cash is always preferred. Arrive with American cash to make process smoother!

Can I drink the water?

Answer

NO, PLEASE DO NOT DRINK TAP WATER. Only drink from purchased plastic water bottles! However, showers and brushing teeth is ok.

Is it ok if I don’t speak Spanish?

Answer

Yes, that is more than fine! Most people speak well English but have Google translated downloaded upon arrival just in case!

Will I have phone service?

Answer

Check with your phone carrier to see if Mexico is included, can purchase with carrier or be free and only use Wi-Fi! Most hotels and airbnbs have Wi-Fi!

What’s should I pack/ what’s the temperature?

Answer

Pack your favorite swimsuit, and warm summer clothes but don’t forget to pack a pair of sweats and a rain jacket just in case. The temperature should be around mid 70s to low 80s. Do not forget your passport! I also recommend bringing your own medical pills, prescriptions, and beauty products. Mexico has a very different and very limited options!

Is Mexico safe?

Answer

We understand all the concerns about Mexico but we want to reassure you that we choose this town for its safety, and fun atmosphere! Most dangers lie within gang related activities, there is no gangs in Sayulita. We would never pick a destination where we would be fearful of anything. Like any out of country trip, always have your eyes on your personal items and never go anywhere alone.

What’s if my card doesn’t work?

Answer

Let your bank know of your travels ahead of time. So you don’t have to deal with card not working in Mexico!

When you will guys be in town?

Answer

Jackson and I will be arrive on February 28- March 9th. We would love to you more then at just the wedding, please reach out to us :) do not feel pressured to stay that whole length of time. Come when it feels right for you, if you need to only come for 4-5 days that’s fine too!

Do I need trip insurance?

Answer

If you are concerned about potential medical or theft emergencies. We recommend travel insurance to have that safety net! It’s normally around $20 for the whole trip!

What are the vibes of the town/ stuff to do?

Answer

We choose Sayulita because it’s like the “north shore” of Mexico! It’s a super small surf town filled with tons of good eats, fun bars, and beautiful beaches! Please check out the “ things to do” tab on our website!
