Lisbon Airport

There's only one for people coming from abroad. LIS is the IATA code for the "avgeeks". The airport is 25-30 minutes away from the wedding venue in Sintra. It has convenient metro connections and you can easily call an Uber or Bolt to get around. Apologies in advance for how logistically challenged the airport is. We're Portuguese, after all. You can also land in Porto (OPO) or Faro (FAO) in case you're making a trip out of the wedding! Both are just over a 3-hour drive away.

This is where the wedding day will happen and where guests can also stay to be closer to us! This wonderful hotel also includes an actual 16th-century Monastery, where the wedding will take place. Getting around

We recommend taking Ubers or Bolts as it's quite affordable, convenient and public transport isn't great overall. Some estimate fares for typical journeys: - Penha Longa to Cascais/Estoril: 6-10EUR - Penha Longa to Sintra's National Palace: 6-10EUR - Penha Longa to Lisbon city centre: 25-35EUR Car rentals are also an option and there is free parking onsite at the wedding venue. Public transport is also an option although it might test your patience.
