Multnomah Falls
Multnomah Falls is a popular tourist, destination spot to hike or do an easy short walk with gorgeous views of multiple waterfalls, with the primary waterfall being Multnomah Falls. It also has a nice restaurant and local gift shop to check out. Hiking trails at Multnomah Falls range from the short, paved 0.2-mile walk to the Benson Bridge to the steep, 1.1-mile hike to the top viewing platform. Popular options include the Multnomah Falls Trail (#441) to the summit and the connected Wahkeena Falls Loop Trail, which offers a longer, more challenging 5-mile scenic hike.
Short Sand Beach Trail
Gorgeous short trail that leads to an incredible view of your not typical beach but rather the Oregon beach, that is luxurious and surrounded with pine trees, hiking trails, while at the beach. If you want a true feel for the Oregon Coast (and the classic experience of Twilight vibes), go to Short Sand Beach in Nehalem/Manzanita, Oregon specifically. Wanting a longer hike? These hiking trails in Molalla are more secluded. I recommend going to other hiking trails outside of Molalla (i.e., Silver State Falls or Cape Falcon at the Oregon Coast) for a more gorgeous and scenic views that offers waterfalls, rather than solely hiking in the forest along the Molalla River.

Want to go fishing in Molalla? Go here. I recommend checking out specified swimming holes in Molalla or going to the recommended spot in Canby. As for hiking, you can hike here too, but I strongly recommend the hiking trails recommended at Multonomah Falls, at the coast, or in Silverton, Oregon.

Want to go to the river and relax? Hang out along the easily accessible, Canby River. Bring a portable barbecue or some inter-tubes and float in the river.
Silver Falls State Park - Gorgeous hike with various waterfalls and caves
Want to hike closer to Salem area? Go check out Silver Falls State Park located in Silverton, Oregon.
McMenamins on the Columbia River - Short drive for food from the Portland Airport
Want a place to eat near the portland airport? Go check out Mcmenamins, specifically on the waterfront located in Vancouver, Washington, as it offers a gorgeous view of the Columbia River and often getting to see sail boats along the river. It is located right over the bridge between Portland and Washington. Don’t be fooled, the address is in Vancouver, Washington but the restaurant is only a 10-15 minute drive from the Portland Airport.

Like to read and want to go experience the city of Portland? Go check out one of the most popular tourist spots in Portland— the largest bookstore in the area called Powells Books. This is the original bookstore that you’ll want to check out (do not go to the Powells off of Southeast Hawthorne or in the surrounding suburb of Beaverton).
