Our story began on June 17, 2019, when fate brought us together in the most ordinary of places—Best Buy. What started as a simple trip for Deja to purchase an iPad turned into an unforgettable encounter with Lance and a spark that couldn’t be ignored. We talked until the store closed, and the chemistry was undeniable. From the very beginning, it was clear we shared not only laughter and connection but also big dreams and goals that aligned effortlessly. On 11/11/2019, we made it official, beginning a journey that has only grown stronger through love, laughter, and shared adventures. On Christmas Day in 2023, surrounded by family, Lance dropped to one knee and asked Deja to be his forever. With hearts full of joy and eyes filled with happy tears, she said yes. Nearly six years of adventures, quality time, and countless memories have brought us to this moment—and in October 2025, we will say “I do” as our story continues into Happily Ever Smiths. We are so excited to celebrate our forever with the people we love most. From our very first meeting in 2019 to our proposal in 2023, every moment has led us to this.
