We're getting married!

In February 2018, my former roommate and close friend, Jordien, posted a picture of me on Snapchat. Josh happened to see it and immediately messaged her saying, “That’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen… can I get her number?” I wasn’t ready to hand out my number just yet, but I told her he could have my Snapchat. We started talking that same day, and within a few hours, I realized there was something genuinely kind and sincere about him—so I eventually gave him my number after all. Our journey began slowly. • October 2018: We met in person for the first time at VCU Homecoming. • 2018–2020: We built a solid friendship, spending time together, learning each other’s personalities, and forming a natural connection. Josh definitely had a crush on me, but I wasn’t ready for a relationship yet. We both dated other people during this time, but somehow we always found our way back to each other as friends. • February/March 2020: We finally acknowledged that what we felt was more than friendship and decided to explore a relationship. • April 4, 2020: Josh officially asked me to be his girlfriend. ❤️ • September 14, 2025: Josh asked me to marry him. ❤️ From a Snapchat moment to a lifelong commitment, our story has been filled with patience, friendship, growth, and love. We wouldn’t change a thing about the path that brought us here.
