Nothing extravagant about the way we met, but everything together has been nothing short of it! We were both in college trying to make this transition to adult life, but we still loved to have fun even before we met. In the name of being single and running the streets, our mutual friend decided it would be a good idea for us to meet at a party and maybe, just maybe some magic would happen. Well....it didn't! We exchanged numbers but the game of Hard to Get began. A year passed by and finally we started dating. After about 3 years we decided to take the big step and move into our first apartment together to test if we really loved the flaws in each other. Not only was it a success but two years later we purchased our first home together! Since then it's been almost 5 years of travelling the world together, understanding our love and what we love about each other and a decision that we want to be together forever!

In 2018, Dante finally decides to make the big purchase! Dante had been sitting on the ring for some time but could not figure out how to present it in any sort of way that would make it memorable also not to mention Deja is nosey as hell lol. So, since Dante couldn't figure it out, one of his groomsmen, Jordan, called him and presented the idea of doing it during our Friendsmas (Christmas with Friends) event. Jordan had told Dante there would be a game of White Elephant in which the rules will be skewed to make sure that Dante could go last. At the end of the game when it was Dante's turn he traded Deja her gift with his bag and told her to open it. At that moment, Deja complained and complained that she didn't want Dante's gift and Dante had to keep telling her to open it and look at EVERYTHING! Deja finally looked in the bag and saw a small box and when she looked up Dante had dropped to his knee for the proposal. The only thing everyone can remember Deja saying was, "Aww, you wanna marry me?" so Dante just took that as a yes and put the ring on her finger. Deja sat there in reflection for some time when she finally cried tears of joy and the rest was history!
