We met each other at a mutual friend's party in Cle Elum, WA. We shared contact details after playing a few games of Halo 3 multiplayer, where the bride surprised the groom with her gaming skills. After continuing to chat and play games online for a few months, we told each other that we were interested in dating. Our first official date was on February 12th, 2017, at Bellevue Square Mall, and we ended the night sitting on a park bench and admiring the Downtown Bellevue Park. We have been happily together ever since!

Fast forward to eight years later... We celebrated our eighth anniversary by recreating our first date, beginning by strolling through the Bellevue Square Mall. After sharing a lovely meal together at Wild Ginger, the groom suggested we walk over to the Downtown Bellevue Park, where we sat on the same park bench from our first date and chatted for a bit. Then, after a touching speech, the groom got up from the bench and proposed...and the bride happily said yes!
