Question

When are RSVPs due?

Answer

Please RSVP to Deirdre via phone/text or email by October 5th, 2022; also include all invitee dinner choice(s) for the night, and any dietary restrictions we need to make the caterer aware of.

Are children allowed?

Answer

Our guest list is limited, so only children who have been named on your invitation will be invited to the wedding ceremony and reception.

Ceremony and Reception details...

Answer

A full description of wedding day details can be viewed on the Schedule tab of our wedding website; but since you are already here... -Ceremony will take place outdoors @ 430pm, (we are hoping for beautiful fall weather) -Cocktail Hour will also take place on the outdoor patio, with apps and an open bar -Reception moves indoors with a plated dinner followed by dancing & homemade cupcakes

Is there parking near the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is an ample amount of parking at Prospect Bay Country Club. The venue is also handicap accessible; if any of our guests will need extra assistance upon arrival, please let us know when you RSVP so we can further inform our wedding coordinator at Prospect Bay.

May I bring a +1?

Answer

Since our guest list is limited to family and close friends, please refer to your invitation when deciding to bring a +1 or not. When in doubt you may contact Deirdre to ask about bringing along a date.

Dress Code?

Answer

Semi-formal or Cocktail Attire. (bridal party will be in Navy, Wine/Burgundy, and Rose/Blush Pink)

Cell phones allowed during ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony will be unplugged, so please save your cameras and camera phones for the Reception. Josh and I would like to see all your beautiful faces as we say "I do".

Wedding hashtag?

Answer

Although the ceremony is unplugged; As we dance and drink the night away please use our wedding hashtag #youretheOneforMah when you post to social media, Josh and I will enjoy viewing your posts after the night is over.

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

Most of our guest list resides locally so we have not set up a Hotel room block, but here are a few hotels in close proximity to our venue on Kent Island, along with a few close to the Carmody household in Annapolis. -Kent Island hotels: Hilton Garden Inn Holiday Inn Express Best Western -Annapolis/Riva area hotels: Country Inn & Suites Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Hilton Garden Inn Sonesta (extended stay) Suites There are also some Airbnb rentals available in the areas of Annapolis and Edgewater.

Food allergy precautions?

Answer

Please inform us when you RSVP of any food allergies you, your family or guests may have so we may inform our caterer and wedding coordinator.

Cash for bar?

Answer

We will be providing an open bar for cocktail hour, along with the reception. Please feel free to bring some cash along if you like to tip your bartenders as you visit the open bar, this is in no way a requirement but simply a personal preference for some of our guests. (please drink responsibly)

Uber and Lyft availability in the area?

Answer

Our venue is situated on the Eastern Shore of MD, where the ride-share services may unfortunately be limited and in turn may be more expensive than you are used to seeing. Please plan responsibly and check out the list of local hotels we provided if you do not wish to be driving far after the celebration concludes.

Best travel route to venue?

Answer

Most of our guests will be travelling from the Annapolis area and with the summer beach season coming to an end your best route will be taking Route 50 East over the Bay Bridge, from Annapolis it takes approximately 30-35 minutes to arrive at the Prospect Bay Country Club venue in Grasonville, MD.

Local weather information

Answer

Historically: October weather on the Eastern Shore is typically mild, with warmish days and cooler evenings. Average temperature falls around 60-61 degrees, with a minimum temperature of 56 degrees and a maximum temperature of 66 degrees. Humidity levels sit around 68%, with approximately 7 days of rain for the entire month of October. Last year (2021) the month of October was warmer than usual; with an average temperature of 63 degrees, the warmest day during October 2021 was 73 degrees.

Wedding Registry information?

Answer

If you would like to bring a gift or card to the wedding venue, there will be a gift table available to place these items. We have set up a small list of items located on the Registry tab of our wedding website, we have provided our address if you are unable to attend the wedding in-person and wish to send a wedding gift to our home. Josh and I have also set-up a cash fund which will be used towards our future honeymoon adventure.

After party?

Answer

Currently there is no after party scheduled for after the wedding celebration concludes at 10pm. The Jetty is one of the closest bars to our Eastern Shore venue and may be an option if guests would like to continue celebrating. Let's see how the night goes and chat about it as we cheers Mr. and Mrs. Josh Mah on the dance floor!

Virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

We will not be arranging a virtual wedding celebration on our wedding day. For any of our family or friends that are not able to be with us in-person, you will be missed. If you are unable to make it; we can share our wedding pictures with you after the 'big' day and tell you all about the celebration, simply let us know if this is something you would like to do with us.

How will I know about updated or altered changes?

Answer

If any major updates take place about the wedding Josh or I will contact you via phone or text.

Covid precautions being taken?

Answer

Thank goodness we will not have to take any precautions. Let's celebrate! But...if you feel the need to take precautions for personal reasons please feel free to do so.
