As I am sure you know from our notices we sent out, we have decided to postpone our wedding reception. We are in the works of deciding when and where will be a good time to celebrate with all of you. We will keep you updated and you can reference our website for any questions. We have still decided that in the midst of all this craziness, we still have each other and we are grateful for that. With that being said, we are still going to tie the knot on our original wedding date of September 19, 2020! It will be a private ceremony in order to keep it safe for our loved ones. We are so grateful to have each and every one of you in our lives and cant wait to celebrate with you all, whenever it safe to do so.
Brian and I met at Saint Ambrose University in 2013, where we had the same friends group and frequently ran into each other. I always had a little crush on Brian with his big beard and crooked smile. He was THE nicest guy ever. I ended up moving home to pursue nursing school at a community college and we lost touch for a period of time. We ran into each other at a bar in Merionette Park (Bourbon Street, where else?) a few years later and hit it off catching up and laughing about old times at Saint Ambrose. Brian was living out in the Quad Cities at the time and we traveled back and forth while dating long distance for two years. After I graduated nursing school, we decided, enough is enough, so I moved out to the Quad cities. We got our first and second apartment, learned how to lean on each other, got our first fur baby (Gemma), had many great nights at the casino (our favorite) and made our tiny apartment feel like home for the time being. After two years we have now moved back to the Chicagoland area to be near family while we plan a wedding and build our life together. For the first 4 years we dated, we have had a great tradition of going to the city to see Gaelic Storm at House of Blues in Chicago every St. Pattys weekend. It was and will always be our favorite tradition!! Brian decided this was a great chance to make our favorite weekend even better. Brian proposed on the river walk and totally surprised this girl!!! After some crying and lots of FaceTiming, Brian told me we were going to meet our group of friends that were going to the concert at a bar to pregame. What I didn't know was that there was the sweetest engagement party planned and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day and weekend to remember forever! As our engagement goes on, there is a lot of uncertainty about when and where we will be married! All we know is we cant wait to tie the knot!
