Kevin and Deirdre met at work during residency. Kevin was a year ahead of Deirdre and they met shortly after Deirdre started intern year. They would talk while in the resident lounge, but it wasn't until they went out one night with some friends that Kevin and Deirdre hit it off after discovering that both secretly thought the other was cute at work. Deirdre is not the most coordinated and we think it was her "two left feet" that first caught Kevin's eye. After talking all night, Kevin decided he could take on the challenge of this clumsy, chronic ankle rolling girl and he asked Deirdre out for an official date. Then came covid and since they both worked throughout the pandemic and their families were afraid of their "cooties", they spent a lot of time together. Luckily, they did not get sick of each other and decided to move in together the following year. The rest is history!

Kevin planned a "city day" in November 2021. They started the day at Rolf's and enjoyed the Christmas decorations. They then walked though the Christmas shops at Bryant Park and stopped at Max Brenner for some chocolate snacks. Lastly, they went to Hudson Yards (one of Deirdre's favorite spots in NYC) and went up to the The Edge. Kevin proposed while they were outside overlooking the city skyline. This was followed by a wonderful dinner and celebration the following day with family.
