Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point
A bit of a travel but if you’ve never been to San Francisco it’s worth a trip down the California Highway 1 to check out the city. When in San Francisco, don’t leave any valuables in your car. Enjoy the city by the bay!
Bodega Bay Oyster Company
This is one of our favorite roadside stops for fresh, local oysters. You can even shuck ‘em yourself if you are feeling adventurous! They also carry a nice variety of local cheese and beers.
Point Arena Lighthouse
Grand lighthouse with beautiful coastal views and interesting history.
Pennyroyal Farm
Cute local winery in the quaint town of Boonville!
B Bryan Preserve
Visit this animal preserve with giraffe, zebra, and antelope in wide open spaces.
Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands
Go for a walk along the rugged and stunning coast right in Point Arena. You can stick to the gentle, flat trails along the coastal bluffs, or explore the tide pools and rock formations along the water’s edge. Things can get chilly and windy, even in August, so bring layers. You might spot some seals if you look closely!
