The Journey 2012-2021

I met James at his job while he was a caregiver for my twin brother DeAndre. It was our birthday and we came to see my brother for his birthday. My mom was fussing about an haircut that my brother did not get. I was busy trying to check out the cutie in a white t shirt and sweat pants. So after celebrating and getting everything together to go, my mom decided to get James number to keep in touch with him about my brother. I decided to get my mom phone and get James number to put in my phone. Side note: James was checking me out to while I was checking him out to but he was busy listening to my mom fuss about a hair cut. Anyway I did not call or text James right off the back. I waited until I was out of town to do it. We text a little bit, after I explain to him who I was and why I was hitting him up. Anyway he told me Happy Birthday and told me to hit him up when I got back into town. Our first date was out to eat and a movie and we connect right off the back. Talking about everything that came to mind. Sidenote: James gave me a hug and a kiss on our first date and we hold hands too. After that it was me and James against the world until 3 months later in March 2012. When we learned that we will be parents with our first child together. His first my second child I was scared to tell him when I find out because i was scared what his reaction would be. I did not tell him until the next day after I had took another pregnancy test because I was in denial. He was happy and I was shocked at his reaction of the news. He told me that everything was going to be ok and that we were going to make it. Well 8 years later and 3 divas all together. We are finally tying the knot. It has not always been peaches and cream between me and James. We have had our ups, downs, falling outs, even to the point of breakup. But to know that life is a roller coaster sometimes but we can smooth out the bumps. I would not mind doing this all over again with this wonderful guy.
