Answers to your frequently asked questions:
Question

What time should I arrive? When does the ceremony start?

Answer

Unless you are taking the shuttle, you are free to arrive anytime after 3pm. The shuttle will have its own schedule. Please be seated for the ceremony by 3:15pm.

Question

What is the shuttle schedule?

Answer

If you are taking a shuttle to or from the venue, please ensure that you add your name the signup sheet that will be in the hotel lobby. HOTEL -> VENUE. The first set of shuttles will depart from the hotel at 1:40pm, and the second set of shuttle will depart from the hotel at 2:40pm. VENUE -> HOTEL. The first hotel shuttle will depart from the venue at 9:00pm for the hotel. It will make a trip back and arrive at the venue around 10:05pm to pick up any remaining guests who wish to go back to the hotel. VENUE -> AFTER PARTY. The first afterparty shuttle will leave the venue for the after party around 10:05pm. This shuttle will make continuous trips until all guests are at the after party. AFTER PARTY -> HOTEL. Once everyone is at the after party, guests may request the shuttles take them back to the hotel at any time prior to 1:30am. The shuttles will depart from the after party for the hotel for the last time at 2:00am (bar close).

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Please refer to our registry tab for all registries. We are registered with Zola, Amazon, and Crate & Barrel.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outside?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside at the venue's property. The ceremony space has a paved walkway. The guests seats are on benches with a thin gravel/pebble layer on the ground. (You won’t be walking on grass.) The reception will take place at the conservatory on the property. We anticipate the conservatory being warm with the amount of people inside, but bring a light jacket if you get cold easily. We will have outdoor heaters for nighttime.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

The invite is limited to only those named in the RSVP.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

No, the only children that will be in attendance are the children in the bridal party.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. In other words, a suit and tie or well-tailored blazer and dress pants are preferable for men, while jumpsuits and mini, knee-length and midi cocktail dresses are great options for women. For your reference, the bridal party will be wearing a rust/red like color.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel tab for more information. We have reserved a room block for our guests. Rooms must be booked through link on the Travel Tab by September 10th to receive the discounted rate. Once the block fills up, rooms will be listed at the normal rate. There are multiple other weddings at the hotel the same weekend so the hotel may sell out. We recommend booking ASAP.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle that will pick guests up at the hotel and take them to the venue, and there will also be return shuttles from the venue to the hotel.

Question

The hotel block check in isn’t until 3pm, what should we do?

Answer

Yes, the hotel check in for the block isn’t until 3pm and the last shuttle will have likely left by then. Typically, hotels permit early check in based on availability. Please contact the hotel the day prior or day of to request early check in. Alternatively, you can tell the hotel you’re arriving in the evening, leave your stuff in your car, and check in after the reception.

Question

Can I leave my car overnight at the venue?

Answer

No, the venue does not allow overnight parking. If you are planning on leaving your car overnight, you must park it in the adjacent lot at Portage Lakes State Park Beach.
