We're getting married!

We met the summer before our junior year of high school through mutual friends and spent that summer running into each other in group hangouts and getting to know one another. Austin often came to watch Maddie’s waterski shows on Wednesday nights, and by August we had our first “date,” which consisted of Maddie confidently taking Austin on a hike behind her house... only for us to get lost with no cell service (and Austin quickly learning she is not the best navigator). From that point on, we’ve been inseparable. We both chose to stay close to home for college at Winona State University, and now find ourselves a bit farther apart with Austin in PT school in La Crosse and Maddie in medical school in Des Moines, Iowa. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, and we are both impatiently counting down the days until the wedding!
