Maid of Honor
Kelly and I have been friends for 18 years and counting. We met in 7th grade and our friendship has remained strong through the braces, bad hair and botched clothing choices. She’s as classy as Kate Middleton, sweet as Mandy Moore and as organized as Martha Stewart (without the prison time). While her dance moves haven’t grown since 7th grade, our friendship sure has. I was lucky enough to stand by her at her wedding and now I have the honor of calling her my maid…of honor.
Best Man
Jeff and I met at the tender age of 0 and, ever since that day, we were the perfect team. He was the brains while I was the brains, brawn and beauty. And through the wins and losses, the joy and heartache, we always had each other’s backs. I look up to Jeff as he’s an incredible father raising three beautiful girls with his wife Stephanie. When Jeff's not being a real life superhero, you can always find him cheering for his favorite superhero Hawkeye…making him and Jeremy Renner the only two Hawkeye fans in the world.
Bridesmaid
The only person in the world that says “Okayyy!” more than rapper Lil Jon may be Yas. She and I met several years ago through mutual friends. While it wasn’t love at first sight, the unaffordable housing prices of Los Angeles pushed us to become roommates. And after more time spent together, living with Yas was the best thing that could've ever happened to me. From dance parties to traveling around the world, Yas is always there for me…even if that means calling out my bad attitude or poor fashion choices. I could not imagine my life without her. And while I may not always make the trek to Riverside this is one love story that has grown into a beautiful friendship.
Best Man
Bill is my oldest brother who you’ll find doing one of three things; coaching basketball, watching Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson movies or chilling with the family. Bill may be the reason why Jeff and I are so competitive. Since we were young, Bill pushed us to go outside and practice until the sun came down. Sure it wasn’t fun every time, but it definitely helped me become the person I am today and I have him to thank for that. On a completely unrelated note, Bill peed on me once when we were kids. People never forget.
Bridesmaid
Steph is my friend from California State University Northridge, where we both were members of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She loves sleeping, traveling and dancing every time she hears the song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” It has been said that Steph may be slightly younger than me, but no one truly knows the truth. We quickly became close friends after college and to this day she has not only been my forever dance partner, but also one of my greatest confidants. And although she has left me for not only one, but two states, we have remained very close and I can’t picture her not by my side at the altar.
Groomsman
Michael is Jen’s younger brother who may look like Shia LaBeouf in his prime, but believe me, he’s more than a pretty, LaBeoufian face. He loves talking about movies, working out and can’t help but suck in his cheeks whenever he sees himself in a mirror. If things don’t work out with Jen and me, Michael is my fallback.
Bridesmaid / Officiant
Sara and I have been friends since the early California State University Northridge days in Alpha Phi. She has a smile that radiates a room and a sense of humor that will make anyone gravitate towards her. I may regret saying this, because I know it will go to her head, but Sara may be one of the funniest people I know. She now lives in Boston, Massachusetts where she wickedly worships Tom Brady (like me!) and can recite the entire screenplay to 'Good Will Hunting' (like Bryan!). We’re honored to have Sara as the officiant for our wedding and we can’t wait for everyone to see her not screw up.
Groomsman
Kevin and I are friends from DePauw University where we bonded over movies, TV, sports and how many girls we couldn't get in college. Nothing could keep us apart until I left for celebrity glory in Los Angeles and Kevin chased power in the Hollywood for ugly people (Washington, D.C.). Now that Kevin lives in the Windy City, our friendship hasn’t skipped a beat as Jen and I visit him every year and see that he still dresses like a character in a Wes Anderson movie.
