One of Akshay's favorite monuments in D.C. We will walk nearby on our Sunday morning walk.

Lincoln Memorial

A family favorite in DC! Entry is free but pass reservation is required.

Smithsonian National Zoological Park

Another family favorite! Free entry but require reserved passes to enter. We recommend reserving them a few days in advance on weekends especially given the cherry blossom season.

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

Home to Deeya's favorite friend, Mr. Ele aka Henry. Free entry and no passes required.

Smithsonian National Museum of American History

Our favorite is the furniture exhibit. Free entry and no passes required.
Also, this statue fondly reminds Deeya of Turtle Boy in Worcester.

Washington Monument

We love going to the Kennedy Center to watch the National Symphony Orchestra. If you arriving early on Friday, look up shows that evening.

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

The annual blossom kite festival will be held on March 30, 2024 at the Washington Monument Grounds.
