“…..with God all things are possible.” - Matthew 19:26
They say it’s hard for the East to meet the West, but “with God, all things are possible”, for He alone brings people together who might never have met, even in their wildest dreams. That’s how our story began. Mom and I were invited by my sister to celebrate Christmas with her family. After we arrived, within a week’s time, we were all invited to a close friend’s family gathering in September. That’s where we got to meet many Telugu families and friends. One among them was Deepthi, who was also introduced to us by the host family. During the course of the party, I noticed her being very helpful, as she delved into serving food and cleaning up at the gathering, despite being an invitee herself. It was very nice, and surprising, to see someone being so selfless. As we spent time in conversation, we were especially drawn to each other’s God-fearing and God-honoring nature, and we felt a strong, special connection. Feeling wonderful about getting to know each other, we exchanged phone numbers and soon began talking, sharing our thoughts, dreams, interests, and values in general. We met in person on a coffee date, and since then, many memorable meetings have followed. This has been filling us with excitement and deepening affection. Since then, whether walking hand in hand through parks or museums, or spending time together at our favorite weekend hangout (Sporting Spot), we’ve cherished every moment together. My love, chivalry, amiability, and perception of her God-fearing nature drew me closer to Deepthi. Deepthi’s compassion, integrity, and cordiality, in addition to her beauty, drew her closer to me. In order to discover more about one another, with hearts full of joy and gratitude, we’ve decided to take the next step, to make it ours forever through holy matrimony.
