This is a true LA love story... Deepa grew up in beautiful Thousand Oaks and established herself as an LA resident after graduating from college. She attended USC for her undergrad and ventured off to IUM in Monaco for her MBA in Luxury Goods Management. She has built a long-standing career in beauty both on the corporate side and as the founder of her own brand. Rameet was born in New York and grew up in sunny SoCal. He attended San Jose State before becoming a leader and tech founder in the talent acquisition space. While Deepa had established her life in Beverly Hills, Rameet was living his in Santa Monica - the two lived only 5 miles from each other for over 10 years and never crossed paths! During the pandemic, Deepa and Rameet independently downloaded the same dating app that allowed them to search for their perfect partner and they found each other. On their first date at Javiers, they both knew there was something special here. Over the course of time, they realized this relationship was truly fate and they are a perfect fit. So, on Deepa's birthday, Rameet surprised her with a proposal at Nobu Ryokan. She was overwhelmed with happiness and said "a million times yes!" as they both held back tears of joy. Then, she asked him to get on one knee AGAIN and repeat all the nice things he said because she was so surprised and did not process a word of what he said.
