How We Met

Let the Good Times Roll

Late January 2012, Oneonta, NY - It is a night out roller-skating, hosted by Hartwick College; which we both attend. Lights, music, and wheels set the scene for a coalescence of souls as Adam and Deena enter the rink at Interskate 88. A tenuous thread of skill catches the attention of the prettiest girl on 8 wheels, as Adam casually weaves his way through scores of other students. Adam wouldn't know it at the time, but Deena had fell for him and ended up with a sprained wrist. February 2012, Hartwick Campus – Someone new was moving onto the floor that Adam lived on and it was by no coincidence. Deena at this point had been making concerted efforts to be around Adam and this was the latest escalation. Adam had begun to notice Deena hanging out at gaming club events and in common areas with other friends. It took a gentle nudge from our mutual friend before... March 10, 2012 – It's official! Deena and Adam are a couple and become nearly inseparable. Together they forged a new union eager to walk beside each other on their paths through higher education and beyond.

Our Love of the Outdoors

A walk in the park.

Deena and Adam connect with nature and each other on frequent strolls through wooded hills, meandering with rivers, and hiking peeked vistas in the Adirondacks. Much of our relationship has blossomed beneath a canopy of verdant foliage. We've made it a focal point of our lives and have always had a woodsy trail nearby, wherever we live. It is from this serene source that we seek both adventure and respite and is the source of inspiration for our wedding. We've chosen the mountains of the Adirondacks in early autumn as the background of our wedding. Our venue, Garnet Hill Lodge, is nestled in the heart of the largest national park in the US and is local to where we frequent for hiking, rafting, and skiing outings. We hope you will become enamored with a place we hold sacred, and admire the Adirondacks during your visit.
