We met in Mrs. Dorland’s third-grade class and later shared the same 5th and 6th grade teachers. We started hanging out more junior year of high school after Alyssa managed to convince Ethan and the rest of the cross-country boy's team to go to homecoming with the girl's team. From there, we would regularly shoot hoops together at the rec and go on Walmart trips. At a cross country party our senior year, we officially started dating, and those Walmart trips quickly turned into ice cream dates, dog walks, game nights, and surprise visits. Between now and then, we've spent 5+ years in long distance while pursuing college athletics and various career journeys, while supporting each other from afar. We could not be more excited to start our marriage and officially be done with long distance.
