Travel

We realize booking travel to the Island can feel a little daunting, so Tom and I have outlined some travel options. Additionally, Tom and I (and our families) will be on San Juan Island from Friday afternoon – Monday afternoon. Feel free to reach out to us for help coordinating on island transportation

Hotel

Roche Harbor Resort

248 Reuben Memorial Drive
Friday Harbor, WA 98250
 (360) 378-2155

*** UPDATE: If you previously made a lodging reservation at Roche Harbor and are looking to rebook, please either call or email the resort and someone will assist in moving your reservation *** This is where the ceremony and reception will take place. There are various accommodation options available for all budgets and party sizes. Please call the hotel and mention the Mitchell wedding for room block details and assistance with booking. (If the accommodation you are interested in is not part of our room block, you can book, pending availability). **We highly recommend booking through Roche Harbor as everything is walking distance. But of course, there are also various VRBO, Air Bnb, and other hotel options in Friday Harbor and throughout the Island**

Flight

Getting to Washington

SeaTac Airport Pro: The SeaTac airport is large and offers various flight/airline options. If you wish to travel to the island by float plane, this is the best option. Con: If you are traveling to the island by ferry, the SeaTac airport is 1.5 to 2 hours from the Anacortes ferry terminal. It is also busier and traffic will also likely be heavier. Everett - Paine Field Pro: The Everett airport is very small, with only 4 gates. There is a good chance you will be able to find a more affordable flight through Everett (direct flights are available from Denver). If you traveling to the island by ferry, the Everett airport is closest to the Anacortes terminal (~1 hour). Con: Only Alaska & United Airlines fly into Everett. If you are choosing to travel by float plane to the island, this would not be a good option.
