We are doing things a little backwards...Our cocktail hour first which begins at 5:00pm and our ceremony will be begin at 6:00pm.
After the ceremony, we are looking forward to sharing in an authentic New Orleans custom for weddings - a Second Line! The Second Line has a deep, rich history in New Orleans. When performed during weddings, it signifies the beginning of a new life for the bride and groom. A Second Line has two parts. The "First line" is usually the band or the ones being honored. The bride and groom, as well as the band would be the "first line" at a Second Line for a wedding. The newly married couple leads the way, usually holding decorated umbrellas or parasols. The guests and anyone else who joins in the celebration are referred to as the "second line". They form a line behind the band and couple, dancing and strutting to the lively music with handkerchiefs or cocktail napkins. Weather providing, our plan is to march out the front entrance and walk the path around the front green and then all return for our reception dinner and dance!
Yes we will have a section blocked off for reserved parking allocated to our wedding party. There will be a golf cart shuttle available before our ceremony (4:45-6) and immediately after send off at 10pm til 10:30
