Josh and I met online and after getting to know each other, it was amazing that we hadn't met sooner. We went to neighboring high schools and colleges and our parents even live 10 minutes apart. Our first date was at Burgatory where we spent the whole night talking and laughing and the rest is history.

To say that I was surprised would be an understatement. Josh proposed after his championship hockey game surrounded by family and friends and it couldn't have been more perfect. After the game everyone went to the lobby to wait for the guys to come out of the locker room for a team photo. Josh comes walking out and says, "Hey Elyse, I have something for you to wear for the picture." I walk over to him and he handed me a team jersey. I held up the jersey to see that not only did it have my favorite number on it, but it also had the name "Dee". I look up to see him on one knee asking me to marry him. I asked him "are you serious!" about 10 times before finally answering YES!
