Spencer: I was leaving a coaching clinic on Valentine's day and didn't want to spend the night alone so I texted a few of my friends. Lucky for me, my friend Chris was cooking dinner for his girlfriend so Calvin, who he lived with, needed to find plans for the night. We decided on this country bar in Puyallup. As the night goes on I see this absolutely stunning woman on the dance floor. After each song she goes up to this guy and it appears she’s asking him to dance. He keeps shaking is head “no” and she goes back to dancing. I couldn’t fathom how anyone would say no to her and made the pledge that if she asked again, I would go fill in since he couldn’t figure it out. The next song comes on, she goes and talks, he says “no”, I swoop in. I can’t remember what the song was, and it seemed as though it only lasted five seconds. I offered to dance with her again later on and she agreed. Then, her and her friends left. I was heartbroken. But luck was on our side, they came back in the bar! In a stupor I stumbled through asking for her phone number and thankfully she gave it to me. We texted back and forth, and a month later finally had our first date! De'Djauna: My girlfriend Laura and I had a single ladies Valentine's night. We went to dinner and to the opening night of 50 Shades of Grey. Later Laura received an invite from her high school buddies to go to Big Whisky. One of them had hip surgery a few weeks prior and I kept asking him to try the dances. He kept telling me no because of, well the hip surgery. I thought it was funny so I continued to ask. A while later this tall cute guy walked up and asked me to dance. We two stepped and he asked if we could dance again the next time there was a two step song. A few song later without that second dance it was time for us to go so we left. Laura noticed she never closed her tab so we went back. When we went back Spencer asked for my number. It took us over a month to go on our first date but it was worth the wait!
