They were miles and miles apart, but it was a prayer and a leap of faith that brought them together. Rachelle moved across the country for a new job, and John was working hard to provide for his future. What they didn't know was that their individual plans were all part of God's plan. They first met at Burlingame Chapel where they soon attended a Career Fair for those who were single and not married yet. They attended every class and lecture learning about career goals, investing, and even how to purchase a home, and more importantly, how to surround all your plans through God. As they sat next to each other during each lecture, both individually career driven and focused on their own journey- they had no idea that God was already creating and preparing for their journey together. It was evident that after such an amazing event that sparks were flying. John didn't waste any time, taking any chance he could get to see her, even in the briefest moments between their choir practices. After a couple months of friendly hangouts and conversations, he was ready to take the next step. On 11.24. 2018, with the blessing of Rachelle's entire family, John officially asked Rachelle to be his girlfriend. Rachelle states that no matter what trials and mishaps life may have brought, the journey was beyond worth it now that she gets to spend her life with John who is so thoughtful, loving, and caring. Not only does she feel safe and loved, but she feels that God has answered her prayers. For God has always known that she did not have to worry-for she does not have to go through life alone. John states that Rachelle makes him a better person, inside and out. She inspires him to be loving, selfless, and kind. To live with care, to live with compassion, and to live for the happiness of others. Rachelle was and will always be his answered prayer. Mark 11:24: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."
