Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

... November 1, 2024

Question

What is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

... Please RSVP via the link on our wedding website.

Question

What if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you if you RSVP late. We will need to provide our vendors and venue exact numbers by a certain date. Please RSVP as soon as possible!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

... Please allow at least 30 minutes to park and find your seat. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm and doors will be shut.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

... The venue has ample parking, however the lot is shared with the golf course and availability can be unpredictable. We highly encourage our guests who will be drinking to taxi or ride-share to the location.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

... Semi-Formal/Cocktail. We would love to remember our friends and family all dressed up for our special day. Please dress in layers to stay comfortable, as the ceremony will be outdoors and Monterey can get chilly in the winter. Please avoid white, and shades of white. Cowboy boots are always welcome!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

... Our ceremony will take place outdoors, with the reception immediately to follow in the indoor banquet room. We will also be offering outdoor games and lounge area during the reception, so dress in layers.

Question

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

... December weather in Monterey can be hard to predict. Temperatures typically range from the mid 60s-low 40s with a chance of showers in the winter months. Please dress in layers, as this will be an an outdoor ceremony, and an evening reception.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

... With respect, we would like our special day to be an adult-only occasion, no exceptions. We will be having an adults only (21+) reception immediately to follow the ceremony. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

... Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

... We will have a variety of passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. For dinner service, we will be offering a buffet with multiple different protein options, salads, and pastas.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

... The couple will have a hosted bar during cocktail hour (4:00 PM-5:00 PM) immediately following the ceremony. We will be offering a glass of champagne for toasting, and wine at the table for dinner. A cash-bar will be offered after cocktail hour.

Question

Am I allowed to take pictures with my phone during your ceremony?

Answer

... We are requesting an unplugged ceremony. We want you to be able to really enjoy our wedding day, feeling truly present and in the moment with us. We've hired an amazing wedding photographer who will be capturing the day — and we're inviting each of you to sit back, relax, and just enjoy how the wedding feels. We're respectfully asking that everyone leave all cameras and cell phones off for the duration of the ceremony. Of course we will happy to share our wedding photos with you afterward! On the other hand, you are more than welcome to bring out the cameras and phones during the reception. We even have the hashtag #declaringmaclaren to share all of your reception pictures!

Question

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

Answer

... Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. As we enter our marriage, we realize that we have all of the belongings we need to start our married life. However, if you would like to contribute to our special day, we have created a honeymoon fund instead of registering for traditional gifts. Your donation will help make our honeymoon unforgettable and create memories that will last us a lifetime. To contribute, simply visit the registry link on this website. Thank you for your love and support. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

Answer

... Please reach out to the bride or groom with any further questions that you have.
