The North Fork Vibe

Local wineries. Farm-to-table food scenes. Oyster farms up and down the coast. Long Island’s North Fork, feels worlds away from the hustle of New York City, though it’s only 90 miles and a couple hours out to the northeastern peninsula. Its largest town, Greenport, offers a laid-back alternative to Long Island’s flashier summer escapes like Montauk and the Hamptons.

Getting there

There are many options to get from Manhattan to the North Fork. If you're flying, we recommend landing at JFK or LGA airports if you can, as landing at Newark in NJ will only add time to your journey. 1. DRIVE: ~2 hours from NYC depending on traffic 2. TRAIN: Long Island Railroad from NYC's Penn Station or directly from JFK airport. Please note that you will likely need to transfer trains at Ronkonkoma. BUS: The Hamptons Jitney has multiple routes a day that pick up in Manhattan (various locations) and drop off at various towns on The North Fork. Make sure to check the closest town to your accommodation to select your drop off location. ACCOMMODATION

We've reserved room blocks at two hotels in the area, details and instructions on how to book are listed by hotel below. Room availability is LIMITED and will be reserved on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. PLEASE NOTE: due to the high demand in the area at this time of year, prices are on the higher end. We did our research and tried our best to provide options at different rates. As with most hotel blocks, you are only able to take advantage of the discounted pricing by booking 2 nights (Friday & Saturday). Our codes will not work for 1 night bookings. Most of the hotels in the area are smaller boutiques with limited rooms, further contributing to the higher prices - if you're looking for options outside of our wedding hotels, we suggest The Menhaden, Hotel Moraine, American Beech, or The Shoals. Renting a house in the area via Airbnb or Vrbo or booking rooms with multiple beds could be a great option for groups traveling together. Regardless of where you choose to stay, we suggest booking as soon as you can to take advantage of the best pricing and availability.

Sound View Greenport

The Soundview Hotel is located in Greenport, NY, ~15 mins from the wedding venue. Declan & Claire will be staying here. Rooms are limited, but if there's enough demand, we may be able to add rooms at the reduced rate to our block. If you're interested in booking at The Soundview and missed out on the available room block, please email Claire at declanandclaire2024@gmail.com or text her at 917 517 7175 so she can look into increasing the # of rooms. For those in the wedding party or immediate family, the rehearsal dinner will be hosted at The Halyard restaurant at The Soundview on Friday, September 20th. We will have a shuttle running all night between The Soundview Hotel and the wedding venue on September 21st - more details to come. Hyatt Place Long Island/East End

The Hyatt is located in Riverhead, NY, roughly 20 mins from the Wedding venue, and 30 minutes from the Rehearsal Dinner venue. Rooms are limited, but if there's enough demand, we may be able to add rooms at the reduced rate to our block.
