Matt and I first met in high school when we worked at the same grocery store. He was the stock boy I lovingly nicknamed "pretty boy" for his uncanny ability to always look sharp while stocking the shelves. Back then, we were just work friends and on-occasion he would chauffeur me to and from my drivers ed classes. We lost touch when he went off to college and ended up running into each other at the only frat party I ever attended. Eventually I made my way to MSU and we rekindle our friendship. We remained friends for quite some time before finally deciding to go on a date. After that, we spent seven years growing up and adventuring together. The rest is history!
Lindsey and I first met in high school working at Hillers Market. It was my senior summer going into college. I worked in the stockroom. Lindsey worked out in the store area. I was never really sure what she did exactly; I think just walk around and look good. 12 years ago, a pair of obnoxious khakis with emblems embroidered all over them earned me the nick name “Pretty Boy “. 12 years later, it appears a classic pair of khakis with cool emblems all over them was the secret key to unlocking a beautiful life with Lindsey Nowicki, a woman and a future I now can’t imagine a life without. (Maybe we will have the khakis on display at the wedding?! Fiancée’s approval pending.) Anyways summer of 2008 the seed was planted. Lindsey and I went on to discover who we were! A few years go by, all my nice khakis I wore in high school are tucked in the back of a closet. ENTER college years.. I run into Lindsey for the first time since high school at a frat party. This was the only frat party I ever attended too.. As I can recall I entered the party and moments later I noticed a pretty girl dancing on a platform constructed of plywood and cylinder blocks… standing next to that platform was Lindsey! She was so adorable and cute, I’ll never forget her smile. She was there with her boyfriend! Womp womp… Another year goes by, but our friendship was rekindled. 2011 and Lindsey enrolls to MSU assumingly because I was there, and she was in pursuit. :) Really though, Lindsey and I go on to become the closest of friends. We talked about dreams, laughed as we discovered each other’s quirks, and enjoyed the pleasantries of college life. So I soon fall deeply in love with my best friend. We go on to date…Yata yata… the rest was history. Aka I spent the last seven years preparing to put a ring on it! P.S. If you are still reading, Lindsey made me “wrap it up” around the part where she gets accepted to MSU. That is why the second half of my story stunk. Love You all, see you at the wedding.
