We were set up by two of our best friends in THEIR wedding. At their surprise engagement party, Paul said that Derek and I were a match and it turns out he was right. At their wedding that next October, Derek and I were paired together in the ceremony and seated together at dinner and we got along like a house on fire. At the time, Derek was living in San Diego, so our first date was the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day 2018. If you know me, you know we all knew it was going to work out if he could make it through a University of Georgia football game with me. We did long distance for a year, and now we live together in Marietta with our two bad dogs, Albus and Betty Lou.
