Our ceremony will be held in the sand, barefoot or sand friendly shoes are encouraged. Afterwards we’ll walk across the boardwalk to the reception where shoes will be more appropriate and comfortable. Attire: Resort Casual (summer dresses or shorts and button down shirts are welcome)
Hello all, we're close to the big day & so excited you will be joining us. We want to share a few details with you to help make the day more enjoyable. Happy to field any questions we’ve missed. Parking: First the bad news. We just learned that McLoons does not have private parking. We feel awful about this. Fortunately, there are options available, included below. They assure us they have never had anyone have problems finding parking for a wedding. Dress Attire: Perfectly acceptable attire ranges from Resort Casual (nice shorts, button shirt, sun dress) to semi-formal (suit, tie, gown) Friday night: Some people are making a weekend of it, so we will come up with some sort of a dinner plan for those who want to join. Let us know if you are interested. After wedding party: For those who want to join, there will be an after-wedding party. The default is to go to the bar above McLoons, which is open until 2 am, but we’re open to other options. Sunday Yoga: Deb has a long tradition of going into Manhattan for Summer Solstice yoga. Since Sunday is Summer Solstice, we will be doing Yoga on the beach at 9 am in Ocean Grove across the boardwalk from the Laingdon Hotel (about a ½ mile south of McLoons) Parking Details: Parking rates in the lots near McLoons fluctuate depending on the day of the week: Standard Rates: Daily rates typically range from $30-$40 per day Metered Parking: generally costs about $2/hr Kiosk: Walk up to any nearby pay station (kiosk), enter your license plate number on the keypad, and pay with coins, bills, or a credit card. Keep the receipt (it’s just for your records) Via App: Download the Asbury PARK or ParkMobile app. You can select your zone, input your plate & pay or add time directly from your phone without walking back to a kiosk. Street parking in Absury is supposedly free beyond 4 blocks from the ocean. There is usually available parking in Ocean Grove (near Laingdon Hotel), about 1/2 mile from McLoons & a nice walk on the boardwalk.
