Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens
A must experience! The Zoo is an all-time favorite of ours and perfect for all ages. My favorite is watching the otters. Too cute! Also too cute is Oren. Ask her about her favorite animal at the Zoo. Enjoy!
Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
Rain or shine, the Cummer offers everything for art lovers of all ages. The art and landscaped gardens are set against the background of the St. Johns River. Includes an interactive exhibit for the kiddos. Questions about the classics? Ask Jonathan. When the Rembrandt exhibition came to the Cummer, Jonathan - in full regalia - was the best ever junior docent.
RAM Riverside Arts Market
Awesome outdoor arts venue - food, jewelry, entertainment. When you're there, please pick us up some cranberry-orange hot pepper jelly!
MOSH Museum of Science and History
A favorite of ours. Fun, experiential learning at its best. We like it so much that Michael was the museum's CFO for five years. PS. Great gift shop, too!
Beaches and Waterways
With 1,100 miles of navigable water, Jax has more shoreline than any other city in the nation. Stroll the Riverwalk or take a tour on the St. John River Taxi. St. Augustine, FL
Visit the historic city of St. Augustine, only 30 minutes drive from Jacksonville. The sites are endless, the shopping is delightful, Castillo de San Marcos fort is the oldest in the continental U.S. The Bridge of Lions leads you to the lighthouse and a beautiful white sand beach. The Nashville Sounds at Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Saturday, June 29, 6:35 p.m. Treif Warning: in additional to traditional baseball fare, they do sell shrimp at the Concession Stands! Stay for the fireworks but don't be late for Sunday's ceremony :)
