Debbie was a host in Beachwood, OH, and Zech was the visiting manager. At first they bumped heads a lot because Zech tried changing the way Debbie ran the host stand...not cool. Then for some reason, Debbie started to like him. He became more and more handsome, he was funny, and they even talked the same and had a lot in common! Zech was trying to move Debbie up in the company while Debbie was texting her friends saying "OMG he just gave me his number!" Took many, many hints for Zech to get the hint! On March 28th, 2018, they finally had their first date to the Spotted Owl and Fahrenheit in Tremont, Ohio.
From the very first date, both Zech and Debbie knew that they'd found "the one". Debbie thought he was going to pop the big question on her birthday, then Christmas, then their anniversary on April 4th....nothing! He wasn't lying when he said he didn't want it to be on a day anything else was being celebrated. Hawaii came along, and Debbie just knew it was going to happen there. The third day rolled in...she pretty much got her hopes up. That night they were out to eat at a restaurant called Orchids, right on the waterfront. Toward the end of the meal, Zech "used the restroom", but he was really giving his phone (camera) to the waiter. Shortly after he had sat down, he dropped his napkin on the floor. Debbie's over there thinking 'this poor wait staff' having to clean up after him, little did she know it was a signal for the staff to start recording. Anywho, Zech started things weird which Debs was like this is semi normal but not completely. Then he said the waiter told him they have to pay upfront. Odd for a fancy restaurant, right? But Debbie went along with it because they were in a new place. They stood up and before Debbie was even standing straight Zech started to get down on one knee...Debbie froze. Zech pulled the ring out, which was in a lit up box and asked her to marry him. When she said yes everyone clapped and the waiter walked over to get a close up look on the camera. Then a regular guest of theirs came over to congratulate and say he recorded too! After, they watched a performer who dedicated a song to them, and the bartender made a rose out of a strawberry for Debbie. The performer uploaded the song to YouTube so they could use it for their first dance at their wedding.
