Question

How many days before the wedding should I arrive to Puerto Rico? How many days before the wedding should I arrive to Puerto Rico?

Answer

We know that our wish is to be honored with your presence on our big day. However, we encourage you to arrive a couple of days early to also share with us in some of the activities to create a memorable time. (Please, refer to the following question for the wedding week activities.)

Question

Are there any activities planned during the week before the wedding? Are there any activities planned during the week before the wedding?

Answer

Itinerary of Activities for the Wedding Week (This itinerary is pending and subject to change.) Wednesday: Beach day at Luquillo Beach - All family/friends are invited. We look forward to having a nice family day at the beach. Please bring your cooler with snacks (munchies). Also, there are food kiosks in the area for the “chinchorreo”. Old San Juan en el atardecer – Considering that San Juan is the Capital, what better place to learn a little more about our culture and be part of the vibe that distinguishes us. We hope to have a nice and fun afternoon/evening. Put on that tropical floral dress or that guayabera to see one of the reasons why Puerto Rico is “The Island of Enchantment”. Thursday: Carabali Rainforest Park- Below you can find out more about this super fun hacienda located just minutes from the hotel area. There are different activities to do, from ATV'S to horseback riding or just having one of the best mojitos on the island. In fact, this hacienda is right next to El Yunque National Forest, if you still feel like exploring. Friday: Día en el Hotel - This is the day before our Big Day! We want to be in a “low key mode” and you will most likely find us in the pool area. You are more than welcome to join us. Rehearsal Dinner - This is a private event and will be held in the evening. Unfortunately, it is only exclusive to the wedding party.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Unfortunately, at this time we have decided not to create a reservation block at the hotel. However, we will communicate at a later date if discounts are available for wedding guests. In addition, we would like to let you know that the Wyndham Rio Mar is a gated community and if you do not wish to book at the hotel itself, we suggest you book at one of the nearby Airbnb's in that same area. That said, it is important that you complete your reservation as soon as possible. We are expecting a higher than usual tourist influx for those dates. This is due to high demand as a result of the local holiday that same week plus the concerts that will take place on the island.

Answer

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do In Puerto Rico’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, spas and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding. Some of them will be part of our agenda during our stay. Stay tune for more details.
