Our love story began in the modern age of digital romance, on the dating app Bumble. Drawn to each other by more than just physical attraction, we were intrigued by the fact that we shared the same job. Our mutual admiration led us to swipe right, and thus began our journey. Our first date was at Gringos and Mariachi in Bethesda, a lively spot that perfectly matched our excitement. From the moment we met, we felt an immediate comfort with each other. The night was filled with laughter, engaging conversation, and the beginning of a connection that felt both new and incredibly natural. Deb even broke her rule of "no more than one drink during a first date", it was clear she really liked Emily! For our second date, Deb took Emily to the Glenstone Museum, one of her favorite local spots. As we wandered through the exhibits, Deb found herself falling for Emily's charismatic personality and radiant smile. Our relationship grew rapidly from there. After six months of dating, we knew we wanted to build a life together and decided to move in together. For the next nine months our one-bedroom apartment in Cleveland Park became our sanctuary, filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Despite Deb's well-known love for dogs, Henry and Lucy quickly became mesmerized by Deb, and they fully approved of her presence in Emily's life. Our city living was amazing, but as we continued to look into the future, we knew we needed to move back to the suburbs. The Germantown house was the obvious choice. In August 2023, during a beach trip to Rehoboth Beach, Deb planned a special surprise. As the sun set over the ocean, Deb asked Emily to marry her. It was a beautiful, intimate moment that we will cherish forever. To celebrate, Deb had arranged a dinner at a local restaurant that Emily had been eager to try. Since that magical evening, we've continued to grow together, facing life's challenges and joys as a united front.
