Our love began as a mustard seed of friendship—growing quietly, led by the flow of the Holy Spirit. We didn’t know where it would lead, but we trusted the One who plans the end from the beginning, and who holds a glorious future for us. The day we first met depends on who you ask 😂. But it all began the day we sat next to each other while leaders were being appointed in the youth arm of our church in Delta State. We were both students then, and as you might guess, we were each chosen to lead different teams. That moment struck a chord in our hearts—it was the planting of our mustard seed of friendship. From that day, we began talking more often, united in our service to the Potter who shapes destinies. Our bond deepened when we were appointed to co-lead the youth organization as President and Vice-President. We were determined that it wouldn't just be another youth fellowship, but a real family—where the tears of one are the tears of all, and the joy of one is the joy of all. We committed to setting the pace, living as examples of fervent love, compassion, generosity, support, and selflessness. Over time, our friendship grew so deeply that we began to share mutual friends. After graduating from university, life happened. Distance crept in. And the old saying—that twenty friends can't remain friends for twenty years—almost came true for us. The tree and its leaves may have withered, but not the seed. For the seed of God abides forever, and there is always hope for a tree cut down—for at the scent of water, it will spring back to life again. For years, we barely spoke. But the testimony remains true for both of us: we never stopped thinking of each other. The quality of our friendship became the standard by which we measured others—and, well, they all fell short 😂. We began to pray individually for divine reconnection, trusting that God would bring us back together in His time. And when that time came, He did. The Scripture once again proved true—at the scent of water, our tree of friendship sprang back to life. With just a spark, our connection began to grow again—this time with purpose and passion—blossoming like a tree planted by rivers of living water. It became clear that the bond we shared was not only strong, but infallible, thus, we decided not to let each other go. Realizing we are meant for each other, we have decided to love each other now and always, in order to see our beautiful friendship continually blossom to the glory of God.
